About the Role

The Intermediate Sec Ops Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and help develop architectural designs for AWS deployments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and help develop architectural designs for AWS deployments.
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect AWS environments, including identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, assisting in their professional growth and skill development.
• Build a career progression path and understand what you would like to specialize in.
• Ticket triage.
• Attend customer transition meetings.
• Update and deploy remote security monitoring code for systems according to security principles.
• Configure a wide range of security tools across multiple environments.
• Update security processes and knowledge base documentation.
• Handle customer service requests.
• Handle internal service requests.
• Review compliance reports.
• Threat hunting.
• Create training documentation and train colleagues where required.

AWS Certifications and Core Skills

• AWS Certification (eg : AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solution Architect Associate) - ESSENTIAL.

• Basic understanding of managing infrastructure using Ia C, such as Terraform.
• Understand the best practices related to security.
