Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) Consultant with a strong background in manufacturing processes and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of SAP MES solutions to improve manufacturing operations, enhance productivity, and ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP MES Implementation:
  • Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP MES solutions.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for SAP MES projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements.
• System Integration:
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP MES with ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) and other enterprise applications.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP MES and shop floor systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA).
• Process Improvement:
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures within SAP MES.
  • Conduct process re-engineering and optimization studies.
• Support and Maintenance:
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP MES applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Train end-users and provide technical support as needed.
• Project Management:
  • Manage SAP MES projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, project progress, and key metrics.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP MES implementation and support.
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA integration.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAP MES configuration and customization.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and shop floor processes.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and other shop floor control systems.
  • Understanding of database management and SQL.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP MES certification.
