Job Description

We are looking for a consultant who would be responsible for the design, implementation, and governance of master data management solutions using SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).

They would need to ensure that enterprise master data—including materials, customers, vendors, and finance objects—is accurate, consistent, and compliant across all business systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years overall SAP experience, with 5+ years in SAP MDG (design, configuration, and implementation).
• Hands‑on experience with at least 2 full-cycle SAP MDG implementations.
• Strong expertise in SAP MDG for Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, and Financial Master Data.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA MDG integration and data replication frameworks (DRF).
• Knowledge of workflow configuration, BRF+, data models, and UI customization.
• Familiarity with data migration tools (SAP Data Services, LSMW, or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of data governance principles, master data lifecycle management, and data quality frameworks.
• Proven experience collaborating with business, IT, and data governance teams to define standards and implement best practices.
• Mandatory minimum years 6-8+ of hands‑on experience with SAP MDG.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing MDG for key domains: Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, Finance, Material Master (if applicable).
• At least 2–3 years working with SAP S/4HANA, especially in MDG on S/4HANA environments.
• Minimum 3 years working in a regulated banking or financial services environment.
• Experience with customer and vendor master data governance, KYC compliance, and financial master data controls.

Certifications

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Master Data Governance (C_MDG_xxx) – preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA certification – advantageous.
• Data Management or Governance certifications (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, CDMP) – advantageous.
• Project Management certification (SAP Activate, PMP, or PRINCE2) – beneficial.

Experience

• Experience integrating MDG with SAP ECC / S/4HANA.
• Non‑SAP systems integration: SAP Data Services, SLT, or MDG Consolidation.
• Familiarity with Fiori apps, BRF+, and workflow configuration.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations (POPIA, GDPR) and audit controls in banking.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits related to master data.
• Project leadership experience leading MDG implementation or enhancement projects.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Strong communication skills for engaging with data owners, business units, and executive leadership.
• Ability to translate governance requirements into technical solutions.
