Responsibilities
- Operational support for payroll runs in different countries
- Functional support of business teams
- Maintain payroll schemas and rules
- Configure business requirements in payroll
- Conduct functional tests and system integration tests
- Manage and resolve incident and service request tickets related to SAP HCM Payroll ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
- Interact with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes
- Manage general queries of colleagues and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- Managing and enabling internal and external teams to carry out implementation tasks
- Independent programming IT solutions
- Collaborating closely with IT providers
- Taking end‑to‑end responsibility for functions and products from collecting requirements to implementation and problem solution
- Controlling and managing the software lifecycle and continuously integrating and deploying IT applications
- Applying test‑driven development methods
- Applying in‑depth knowledge and expertise to develop accurate software solutions for products
- Collaborating with product stakeholders
- Executing development activities
- Working according to agile methods (e.g., Scrum)
Qualifications & Experience
- SAP HCM certification
- Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP HCM PY operations support or development
- Expert in SAP Payroll operations
- Proficient payroll configuration skills (schemas, rules, wage types, customizing)
- Experience with SAP HCM in general (PA/OM/PT)
- Proficient knowledge of payroll processes and best practices
- Precise attention to detail with a diligent focus on quality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Advantageous Skills
- SAP technical experience (forms, printing solutions, RFCs, etc.)
- Routinized use of ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
- Familiar with ITIL processes
- Exposure to multinational work environments
- Experience with company pension
- Knowledge of USA payroll specifics (bonus)
