Overview
A leading global provider of engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services to the energy industry, currently offering an exceptional opportunity for a Sand Blasting Painting Foreman to join Various Offshore Vessels operating Worldwide (currently in Romania).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and control the work of the dependent team based on sandblasting and painting Scope of Work assigned.
- Distribute the equipment and materials to allow the team to perform the assigned activities.
- Ensure that operators and all personnel belonging to the team strictly observe applicable safety standards.
- Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality requirements.
- Give instructions to the team in order to execute the sand blasting and painting works as per applicable painting system.
- Organize all the means, equipment and materials necessary to perform the work.
- Check that they comply with applicable provisions, report any anomalies and coordinate any corrective actions.
- Liaise with the works supervisor in order to optimize the use of equipment and personnel.
- Carry out the daily toolbox talks.
- Verify the sand blasting and painting works are always carried out in appropriate habitats, preventing dispersion of grit and toxic products in the environment.
- Ensure that any approved modification made during the execution of the works is duly marked up on the relevant drawings, in order to allow the issue of As Built documentation.
- Provide the work supervisor with data on manpower, equipment, tools and material used.
- Implement the permit-to-work system.
- Liaise with other disciplines on ongoing operations.
- Ensure the housekeeping of the work location.
Qualifications and Skills requirements
- Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree
- Experience as Sand Blasting Painting Foreman
- Medical Fitness Certificate for offshore work.
- English Language skills required.
