Duties & Responsibilities
Experienced Sales Representative Durban Based

The Employee is required to establish and nurture lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with their respective customers. Building this rapport should not be restricted to shop owners and senior staff. It is vital to create open channels of communication, empathy and understanding with all staff members in a friendly yet professional manner.

The Employee is required to fully inspect displays upon every store visit in order to ascertain what is needed in terms of upgrades, changes and replacements of product, sample books, signage and competitor activity. A list will be provided with discontinued items and those items should be removed from sample boards; a full competitor analysis must be provided with weekly reporting.

The Employee is to showcase our products, promotional merchandise and samples and encourage client or interior professionals to specify our brand and / or get space into their physical showrooms with working samples so as to become a fully equipped reseller.

The Employee will be required to interact with all entities including end-users and peripheral professionals who may be involved in the sale of the products been marketed.

The Employee is required to keep up to date with Marketing activities. Print materials and social media activities should be presented and their respective messages conveyed to customers. Clear communication and the following of written protocols is expected when setting up store displays and ordering Merchandise and Marketing Equipment.

For new customers the Employee will be required to physically, telephonically or electronically locate said customer and follow a prescribed process to qualify them for trade with The Company.

Sales Training and product launches may be conducted several times during the year. It is incumbent upon the Employee in the area to assist with event planning, inviting of guests, arrangement of catering, participation in actual training and to liaise with Head Office to ensure that the training is successfully completed.

Salary Breakdown

Basic from R15000.00 to R25000.00 per month depending on experience.

Vehicle Allowance R 4500.00

Fuel Allowance R 3500.00

Cell Phone Allowance R 1000.00

Monthly Commission 3%, on excess of R ___________ (reviewed before sign on) per month

The commission of 3% ( the percentage rate is reviewed annually).

Example 3% of (R600 000 monthly sales R 500 00 000 monthly target) = R 3000
