Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Sales Manager to lead our clients sales team in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving student enrollments by managing and supporting a team of sales consultants. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is willing to be actively involved in fieldwork, visiting schools alongside the team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about education, skilled in sales strategy execution, and has a strong ability to mentor, motivate, and ensure the success of their team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and support a team of sales consultants, ensuring they meet enrollment targets.
    • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and motivation to enhance team performance.
    • Lead by example by actively participating in sales activities, including school visits and student engagements.
    • Monitor team performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  2. Sales & Business Development
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase student enrollment.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with high schools, career guidance counselors, and prospective students.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
    • Represent the institution at school career expos, open days, and marketing events.
    • Ensure effective pipeline management from lead generation to conversion.
  3. School Engagement & Fieldwork
    • Visit schools regularly with the sales consultants to promote the institution.
    • Deliver engaging presentations to students, parents, and educators about the programs offered.
    • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in high schools.
  4. Reporting & Performance Tracking
    • Track and report on sales performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
    • Analyze enrollment trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for senior management.
  5. Operational Support
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
    • Ensure smooth operations during peak enrollment periods, including working overtime when required.
    • Resolve any challenges related to student recruitment efficiently and professionally.
Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum: Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years in a sales management role, preferably in education or a related industry.
  • Track Record: Proven experience leading a successful sales team with a history of exceeding targets.
