The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the retail sector, a proven track record in a management role, and the ability to develop effective sales strategies. Qualifications

  • Solid understanding and experience in the retail industry.
  • Experience in sales and execution of capital equipment, preferably in retail.
  • Well networked within the franchise and corporate retail sector.
  • Refrigeration experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in refrigerated cabinets and insulated cold/freezer rooms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage both Local and Exports Sales teams, including KPIs and budgets.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for both Local and Export sales.
  • Lead the sales team to achieve targets and manage customer expectations.
  • Identify and generate potential leads and new markets.
  • Manage sales processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage both Local and Exports Sales teams: KPIs, sales planning, budgets
  • Develop and implement sales strategy for both Local and Export sales
  • Local and Exports sales budgeting and forecasting
  • Lead sales team to achieve their targets
  • Manage customer expectations and relationships
  • Handling customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Identify and generate potential leads and new markets
  • New client acquisition
  • Manage selected key accounts/customers
  • Maintain relationships with key customers including facing key customers
  • Manage sales pipeline and report on sales activity on a weekly basis
  • Manage quotations and estimates to be done correctly and within set timeframes
  • Manage customer base debtors and assist with follow-up payments
  • Manage estimator and draughting department, balancing load and prioritizing enquiries
  • Analyse sales data to adjust customer and market approach accordingly
  • Manage sales processes to ensure they are efficient and effective
  • Co-ordinate sales leads with the relevant group companies to discuss best approach
  • Support sales team by ensuring factory production aligns with project dates
  • Coaching, motivating, mentoring, building and supporting the sales team
  • Build a solid, positive, customer-centric, ethical and high performing sales culture
  • Exhibit at expos and trade shows
  • Manage sales team commission monthly where applicable
  • Ensure pricing and discount structures are revised regularly and communicated to Estimator team
