Job title: Sales Executive
Job Location: Western Cape, Cape Town
Role overview: As a Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through exceptional customer experience, deep product knowledge, and a refined, consultative sales approach. This is a high-performance role, requiring a blend of creative flair, business acumen, and relationship management. You will consistently exceed expectations, both in sales and in service delivery, building long-term customer loyalty and contributing meaningfully to the Weylandts brand vision.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Deliver a world-class, personalised in-store and post-sale experience.
- Anticipate customer needs and tailor solutions that reflect their lifestyle and our brand ethos.
- Guide customers on product selection, care, space planning and styling.
- Build lasting client relationships to maximise lifetime value.
Sales & Business Development
- Consistently meet & exceed individual sales targets
- Cash Collected (Net of VAT), and
- Discount Target
- Pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
- Represent the Weylandts brand with professionalism and confidence.
Operational Excellence
- Independently manage the full sales process from initial prospecting and first contact, through needs analysis, sales quote, negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up.
- Ensure excellence in all operational processes: sales orders, account management, stock management, SR management and studio referrals.
- Mentor team members and share best practices.
- Promote & champion the decorator / partner program.
- Uphold showroom standards and ensure that all items are priced and displayed correctly
- Stay compliant with all required training in line with company policy
What you bring
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant diploma / degree in sales, business, or customer service is advantageous
- Minimum 5 years of executive-level sales experience in a premium retail, interiors or customer-facing environment
- Previous experience in retail or client-focused setting
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills
- Technically inclined and comfortable learning and using multiple business systems and tools
- Available to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Passionate about décor and Weylandts furniture and homeware products
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential
