Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Implement approved pricing strategies across all product categories and customer segments.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date pricing information in the ERP.
  • Collect competitor pricing and market intelligence for regular commercial reviews.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to gather updated transfer prices.
  • Implement contract price updates as per escalation tables.
  • Prepare accurate pricing inputs for tenders and bids.
  • Develop monthly reports on pricing performance, margins, and costs.
  • Analyse usage patterns and consumption rates for key categories.
  • Monitor stock levels for critical repair spares.
  • Prepare pricing files and stocking guidance for new machine introductions.
  • Identify risks of stock-outs and share insights with the Inventory team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pricing Strategy Development & Execution:
    • Implement approved pricing strategies across all product categories and customer segments.
    • Ensure pricing aligns with margin targets, commercial objectives, and market conditions.
    • Proactively identify areas where margins, pricing structures, or strategies require adjustment.
  • ERP Pricing Administration:
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date pricing information in the ERP.
    • Ensure proper version control and traceability for pricing updates.
    • Verify price accuracy and investigate discrepancies with Finance, Inventory, and Sales teams.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
    • Collect competitor pricing and market intelligence for regular commercial reviews.
    • Analyse customer buying patterns to recommend pricing adjustments.
  • Transfer Prices:
    • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to gather updated transfer prices or cost inputs for all relevant items.
    • Implement the approved sales pricing strategy to establish accurate selling prices aligned with margin targets and commercial guidelines.
  • Contract Pricing Management:
    • Implement contract price updates as per escalation tables, CCB provisions, or review schedules.
    • Ensure price files and contract-specific rates are kept current and audit-ready.
    • Support negotiations with pricing scenarios and margin impact analysis.
  • Tender & Bid Pricing Support:
    • Prepare accurate pricing inputs for tenders, RFQs, and bids.
    • Conduct margin and cost analysis to ensure commercial viability.
    • Maintain a structured record of all tender submissions and outcomes.
  • Reporting & Commercial Analytics:
    • Develop monthly reports on pricing performance, margins, costs, and trends.
    • Provide actionable insights to management and sales teams.
    • Create ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Spare Parts Consumption & Stocking Insights:
    • Analyse usage patterns and consumption rates for all key categories.
    • Recommend SKU levels, ISQs, and adjustments based on trends.
    • Identify risks of stock-outs and share insights with the Inventory team.
  • Repair Spares Stock Level Management:
    • Monitor stock levels for critical repair spares.
    • Provide min/max level recommendations and urgent replenishment triggers to Inventory.
    • Identify risks of stock-outs and share insights with the Inventory team.
  • New Product Pricing Readiness:
    • Prepare pricing files and stocking guidance for new machine introductions.
    • Develop the pricing for RSL (Recommended Spares List) for customers.
    • Support LCC (Lifecycle Cost) calculations for customer proposals.
  • Slow-Moving Stock & Fire-Sale Identification:
    • Analyse ageing stock and highlight items at risk of obsolescence.
    • Propose fire-sale or promotional pricing actions.
    • Track performance of implemented campaigns.
  • Sales Forecasting & Opportunity Modelling:
    • Build and refine forecasting models based on history and new opportunities.
    • Support Sales teams with opportunity-based forecasting.
    • Report deviations between forecasts and actual results.
  • Cross-Functional Commercial Support:
    • Provide analytical and pricing support to Sales, Inventory, Product Support and Finance teams.
    • Assist with commercial queries related to costs, pricing, margins, or trends.
    • Ensure information shared across teams is accurate, concise, and up to date.
