Responsibilities
- A pioneering supplier in smart infrastructure technologies is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their expanding team. This position focuses on developing direct client relationships, understanding each client’s operational challenges, and presenting customised technology solutions that enhance their workflows.
- The goal is to secure the company’s offerings within the client’s technical frameworks and preferred vendor lists for upcoming projects.
- Hunt for new business opportunities, actively building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Apply fresh thinking to engage clients, create value, and confidently close deals.
- Take full accountability for sales targets, ensuring accurate pipeline forecasts and reporting.
- Strategically plan and manage your accounts to drive growth and deepen client relationships.
- Rapidly develop product expertise, allowing you to translate complex technical offerings into clear, practical solutions that align with each client’s goals.
- Craft compelling proposals backed by data and tailored value propositions.
- Partner with clients to secure the inclusion of our solutions in their technical standards and supplier lists for long-term business opportunities.
- Build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders, showcasing how our solutions solve real business challenges.
- Work closely with internal teams (technical, sales, marketing, product) to deliver seamless, client-aligned outcomes.
- Continuously look for untapped revenue streams and opportunities to expand within existing accounts.
- Manage setbacks with resilience and maintain momentum toward achieving targets.
- Stay current with market developments, competitor activities, and industry innovations to strengthen your sales approach.
- Keep meticulous records of all client engagements, contracts, and feedback.
- Monitor and report on your account activities, providing clear insights for internal strategy discussions.
- Organise regular client meetings and review sessions to strengthen relationships and identify further opportunities.
- Contribute to preparing impactful internal presentations and client updates.
Minimum Requirements
- Essential: Matric.
- Advantageous: Training or qualifications in Marketing, Sales, Client Acquisition, or Business Growth Strategy.
- Experience Required: At least 3 years working in sales roles where targets were met and exceeded.
- Essential: 3+ years in business development within technology, digital infrastructure, or communications sectors.
- Comfortable to travel extensively.
- Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.
