Responsibilities include overseeing machine operations, reporting irregularities, and preparing technical reports. This is a permanent full-time position with market-related salary.

Description

To control maintenance staff tasked with roll activities and be able to take the initiative to start and carry out tasks other than being requested to do in accordance with company national and customer standards.

• Oversee operations of Roll Shop Machines
• Identify and report irregularities to the Production and Maintenance
• Up-dating of roll change register Prepare Grinding loss reports
• Up-dating of roll history cards
• Ensure quality of rolls issued to production
• Repairing of damaged rolls
• Prepare Roll Shop Technical reports and submit at the end of every month
• Ensure calibration and maintenance are done on all roll shop equipment
• Adhere to safe work practice and good housekeeping (6S)

Requirements

• Grade 12 / N3 / NQF4 Technical Qualification with production experience
• Minimum 3 Years in a first level management position in a production environment (Shift Foreman)
• Computer literate (Word Excel MS Projects Power Point)
• SAP Super User for Production Planning and Execution
• Ability to work with suppliers
