Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinating and planning of all local procured cargoes and road freight to DRC for in-gauge and out of gauge (abnormal) cargoes.
  • Co-ordinating and planning import RIT & RIB clearance for sea freight shipments, monitor shipment to ensure that containers do not incur demurrage costs.
  • Liaise with the various Suppliers / LSP to ensure timeous upliftment of cargo.
  • Planning of loads and maximising truck capacity to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Booking of trucks and sending out pre-alerts timeously.
  • Arrange Marine Insurance / surveyor inspection when required.
  • Track all shipments and update reports accordingly.
  • Monitoring POD and send to client as proof of receipt.
  • Make sure accuracy and timeline of RFQ.
  • Make sure all payment to LSP should be done 15 days upon receipt of full documents.
  • Request and check all new supplier required documents.
  • Ensuring all documents for all shipments are uploaded and saved on the Share Point and hard copies kept where necessary.
  • Complete processing of contracts until signed by both parties.
  • Timely and efficient resolution of all queries.
  • Timely and Efficient response time.
Qualifications
  • College education background; additional qualification of supply chain will be preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in the logistics field and understand the various shipping Incoterms.
  • Have geographical knowledge of Southern Africa and the Import / export process.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Efficient when working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in data analysis, for planning.
Benefits

Basic salary of between R 25 000.00 to R 35 000.00 on offer and negotiable with benefits to be discussed.
