Duties & Responsibilities

Our client in the oil and gas industry is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their team. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks associated with petroleum operations, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to develop strategies that ensure the safety of our workforce, protect the environment and safeguard company assets.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Auditing, Economics, BCom or a related field.
  • Advantageous: CA(SA) or Certificate in Risk Management.
  • At least 2 years of Audit Risk or Compliance experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably within the petroleum industry or a related sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to health, safety, environment and operational risk management.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, statistical analysis and risk modelling techniques.
