A retail management agency is seeking a Retail Manager to drive sales growth and oversee store operations in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to enhance customer engagement. Responsibilities include training staff, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with policies, and conducting sales analysis. The role requires a Code B driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle. This is a permanent position based onsite.
Drive store sales to meet or exceed targets.
Analyse sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
Train and motivate staff to improve sales and customer engagement.
Investigate sales variances and provide feedback.
Maintain Min / Max order levels for packaging, labels, and related items in MM.
Plan and maintain merchandise displays in line with brand standards.
Ensure correct stock levels through regular inventory checks.
Manage promotions, discounts, and seasonal product launches.
Conduct store audits to maintain visual and stock standards.
Manage daily opening and closing of operational batches.
Create and manage operational recipes.
Promote a customer-focused culture and high service standards.
Handle customer complaints and build brand loyalty.
Ensure staff are trained on product knowledge, brand values, and sustainability.
Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
Schedule staff effectively to meet business needs.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Apply discipline for poor performance or misconduct when required.
Compile sales dashboards and monthly reports.
Monitor production output reports.
Conduct daily retail office void checks.
Audit received and returned stock for accurate traceability.
Ensure all in-store processes are followed correctly from receiving to finished product.
Maintain records to support audits and compliance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and loss prevention standards.
Manage store opening / closing procedures and cash handling.
Work with marketing and sales teams on promotions and mall / community events.
Previous experience as a Retail Manager or Assistant Retail Manager.
Strong sales, stock control, and people management skills.
Basic reporting and computer skills.
Understanding of retail operations and customer service.
