Job summary

A luxury hospitality brand in the Cape Winelands is seeking a Reservations Manager to lead their reservations department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel setting, paired with strong skills in revenue management and guest service. Responsibilities include managing accommodation bookings, event coordination, and overseeing restaurant reservations. Applicants must be able to travel to the property daily and have the right to work in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Reservations or Revenue-related role within a luxury hotel or lodge environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Protel Air (or similar PMS) and DinePlan (or similar restaurant booking software).
• Demonstrated experience in event/group bookings and coordinating across departments.
• Solid grasp of revenue management principles and OTA channel management.
• Must be able to travel to the hotel property in the Cape Winelands daily.

Our client a world-renowned 5-star property in the Cape Winelands is looking for a Reservations Manager to oversee and lead their reservations department with precision, warmth, and a strong commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all leisure, corporate, and group accommodation bookings across direct and third-party channels (OTAs, DMCs, tour operators).
• Handle and coordinate event-related reservations, including weddings, private events, and corporate retreats, in collaboration with Sales and Events teams.
• Oversee restaurant reservations for multiple dining venues, working closely with F&B teams to ensure smooth guest experiences (using DinePlan).
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and booking records in the hotels PMS (Protel Air).
• Apply revenue and yield management principles to optimise occupancy and maximise profitability.
• Monitor daily booking trends, adjust inventory and pricing strategies as needed, and contribute to revenue forecasting and reporting.
• Lead and mentor a small reservations team, fostering a culture of excellence and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Minimum 35 years' experience in a Reservations or Revenue-related role within a luxury hotel or lodge environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Protel Air (or similar PMS) and DinePlan(or similar restaurant booking software).
• Demonstrated experience in event/group bookings and coordinating across departments.
• Solid grasp of revenue management principles and OTA channel management.
• High level of professionalism, communication, and guest service.
• Must have the right to work in South Africa.
• Must be able to travel to the hotel property in the Cape Winelands daily.
