Overview

A vacancy has become available for a Registered Nurse at Life Health Solutions Clinic, 40 hours a week. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide quality Primary Healthcare Services to prevent ill health and promote good health and well-being, keep up-to-date with innovative methods and practices to deliver exceptional primary care services to meet the needs of the client. The candidate will report directly to the Business Manager.

Responsibilities
  • To provide quality Primary Healthcare Services to prevent ill-health and promote good health and well-being amongst employees.
  • To act as an autonomous practitioner working independently and in conjunction with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of employees.
  • Provide expert professional advice to employees and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
  • Keep up to date with innovative methods and practices to deliver exceptional primary care services to meet the needs of the client.
  • Maintenance, calibration and control of clinic equipment.
  • Keep updated with legal medical requirements.
  • Adhere to the Client’s Scope of Services.
  • Keeping of records in accordance with legislation.
  • Collection and submission of statistical data.
  • Understanding of the client’s Audit requirements would be advantageous.
  • Ensure all filing is up to date and is done accurately; confidentiality of employee information may not be compromised.
  • Meeting of administrative and reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Participation in Life Health Solution’s Quality program.
  • Ensure the archiving of employee files is up to date and done accurately.
  • Identify training needs of first aiders and participate in Life Health Solution’s training programs.
  • Providing information the Client can utilize to eliminate, control and minimize health risks and hazards to which the employees are, or may be, exposed.
  • Coordination of emergency procedures.
  • Arrange the placement of locum staff when clinic staff are absent or request leave.
  • Compiling of rosters, to be in line with the daily and weekly clinic rosters.
  • Working effectively within a budget and ensuring smooth administration of all aspects of the services.
  • Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and the Clients.
  • Ensuring the total satisfaction of our clients through continuous improvement and added value.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards including internal and external audits (Life Health Solutions as well as client audits).
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in General Nursing
  • Certificate in Dispensing
  • Diploma/Degree in Primary Health/Community Health Nursing
  • Registration with SANC
  • Perform all duties within the Scope of Practise of a Registered Nursing Practitioner
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Ideally, the candidate should have experience in administration and employee relations, good communication skills
  • Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs will be most suitable for this position.
