Job summary

A leading equipment supplier in South Africa is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic. Responsibilities include logging product matters, compiling technical reports, and communication with both mechanics and customers. The ideal candidate will be Matric qualified in a relevant trade, with at least 7 years of experience and familiarity with SIS2.0. A valid driver's license is required.

Job description

Overview

• Fluent navigation of SIS2.0
• Constructively log product matters with OEM
• Caterpillar preventative maintenance orientated
• Self-manageable
• Constant communication between TA mechanic and SEENG.
• Compile informative technical report on all systems (TA report) reports are given to Supervisor to action, normally discussed with CSR to obtain incremental business.
• The report depending on customer availability gets discussed with customer on site by the analyst.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Matric (Grade12) qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment
• Mechanic) NQF3, three years post apprenticeship/ learnership
• Computer Literate
• Valid Drivers License
• Access and familiarity with Caterpillar DSN
• Job planning and successful execution
• SIS2.0 Navigation and familiarity
• 7 years qualified trade
