Job description
PRIMARY PURPOSE

To manage and execute processes to facilitate selling of end of contract vehicles within a regional portfolio, utilizing systems and partnerships in accordance with applicable legislation and internal policies and procedures, with the objective to increase the company profit line and minimizing the risk of loss.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
  • Matric
  • NQF 5 Business Administration or Marketing Management certificate or Diploma in Transport / Logistics / or similar.
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Fleet Management, with involvement in Fleet Operations, automotive sales or vehicle resale operations.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA (KPA)
CUSTOMER CENTRICITY
  • Collaborate within, and outside of area of responsibility to improve service delivery, interpret business/customer requirements and address queries and challenges to provide timeous solutions.
  • Escalate obstacles to service delivery to the Head of the function in a timely manner.
  • Be responsive and provide adequate level and quality of service delivery to internal and external stakeholders
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
  • Receive, inspect and evaluate end of contract vehicles from the region to accurately evaluate the condition and value of fleet vehicle prior to resale.
  • Assess and communicate any impact on residual value before vehicle is accepted for resell.
  • Revert to region with identified corrective actions if the vehicle is not ready to be included in the sale pool, monitoring follow-up actions.
  • Upon acceptance of vehicle, issue required forms and capture in resale stock system.
  • Obtain, and ensure completeness, of required documentation relating to ownership registration, instalment balances, licensing to facilitate resale transactions.
  • Allocate vehicles for sale to resellers based on the disposal strategy, ensure all allocated vehicles are prepared for sale within required timeframe.
  • Liaise with resellers and communicate which vehicles are available for sale.
  • Manage risk and maximise profit by overseeing end of contract vehicle disposal activities within “days in stock” targets
GOVERNANCE, RISK & COMPLIANCE
  • Execute on governance and control processes and procedures within defined operational frameworks.
  • Ensure partners are contracted aligned with internal processes and procedures.
  • Manage the safekeeping of vehicle assets within the portfolio.
  • Perform physical inspections to verify information e.g. stock counts to resale register.
  • Ensure all control procedures are followed when purchaser collects vehicle.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
  • Establish and maintain partner relationships within the portfolio, meeting regularly and setting standard and quality expectations, ensuring a high level of ethical standard is being upheld.
  • Oversee partner service delivery and resolve identified issues and concerns by taking appropriate management action.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to assist with interdepartmental challenges to facilitate meeting of targets and maximise profits
