• Sourcing new fabrications

• Staying updated on the latest fabric developments and trends

Skills

Extensive knowledge of fabric and trims, especially Denim

Knowledge of a PLM system is advantageous

Knowledge of garment construction

A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in Design, Clothing Production, or Fabric Technology)

We are all about creating jobs in South Africa. The TFG Denim Design Division is designing and product developing denim for all of the TFG Brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing new fabrications.
• Purchasing and allocating fabric (local and import).
• Ensuring fabric is purchased on time according to retail requirements.
• Issuing and following up on purchase orders.
• Following up on all administrative functions pertaining to procurement.
• Staying updated on the latest fabric developments and trends.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with fabric agents and mills.
• Negotiating prices and delivery dates with suppliers.
• Managing stock fabric utilization in line with targets.
• Compiling and maintaining up-to-date stock books.

Qualifications And Experience

• A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in Design, Clothing Production, or Fabric Technology).
• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role and environment.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of fabric and trims, especially Denim.
• Knowledge of a PLM system is advantageous.
• Knowledge of garment construction.
