WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Quality Control
  • Strong capability to perform mechanical inspections (CMM advantageous).
  • Strong sense of direction and ability to lift and move.
  • Ability to manage and implement quality control.
  • Control of process and final product scrap and rework.
  • Approves incoming materials, qc specific consumables, tooling as per ECL plan by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Quality Assurance
  • Review of quality documentation.
  • Implementation and review of quality processes.
  • Ability to analyze, improve and optimize quality.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal requirements.
  • Accomplishes quality and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Record, capture and monitor scrap and rework.
  • Non-destructive and destructive testing of samples as per applicable standards.
Test Facilities
  • Management of internal and external testing of products.
  • Ability to perform testing of products.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Availability to work overtime to support operational needs.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) Qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Exposure and understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality Management.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a mechanical inspection in the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of sampling plans & Materials.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability in the interpretation of geometric tolerance and engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability in the application of measurement practices.
  • Ability to work in other quality areas when required.
