Job summary

A medicinal cannabis manufacturing facility in Brits, South Africa is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Pharmacist to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain quality systems. The successful candidate will assist with batch record reviews, participate in audits, and support product release processes. This role requires a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing pharmacy and registration with the SAPC. The environment is highly regulated, necessitating strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Solid working knowledge of GMP (EU-GMP/PIC/S advantageous).
  • Experience in quality systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with SAHPRA regulatory framework.

The successful candidate will workunder the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacistand play a critical role in maintaining compliance, quality systems, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and implement theQuality Management System (QMS)in line withGMPandSAHPRArequirements
  • Assist withbatch record review, deviation management, CAPAs, and change control
  • Participate ininternal audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections
  • Ensure compliance withSAPC,SAHPRA,Medicines and Related Substances Act, and applicableGMP/GDPstandards
  • Review and maintainSOPs, validation documents, and quality records
  • Support product release processes under delegation from the Responsible Pharmacist
  • Assist with training of personnel on GMP and quality procedures
  • Monitor documentation control and data integrity requirements
  • Registered with theSouthAfrican Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
  • Minimum2–3 years’ experienceinQuality Assurance within a manufacturing pharmacy
Solid working knowledge of:
