MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in line with FSB's qualification requirements
  • Certified Financial Planner (preferred)
  • Registered Key Individual
  • 10+ years experience in the tied agency industry
  • 5+ years experience managing tied agents within the financial services industry
  • 5+ years of leading the establishment and development of a provincial, regional, or national footprint of financial advisors
  • 3+ years experience in technology utilisation in financial services
POSITION OVERVIEW AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute the MFP agency growth and advice strategy in line with market dynamics, economic and political opportunities, and environmental threats.
  • Identify, implement, and oversee initiatives aimed at growing the advice portfolio provincially, collaborating with brand and marketing teams to expand the network and engage networks, franchises, and advisors.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and act as the brand ambassador for MFP.
  • Ensure a consistent process for recruiting, assessing, and appointing financial advisers for sustainable growth.
  • Maintain insights into sales pipelines and footprint growth, developing plans and tactics to achieve growth targets and increase new business and client acquisition.
  • Lead sales managers and support specialists to enable advisers to expand their practices and meet sales targets through credible advice.
  • Develop and implement new business plans for growth, penetrate new markets, and develop client relationships in line with client centricity and legislative requirements.
  • Drive vertical integration through wealth management and retail solutions, and lead the provincial team to enable advisers to manage practices professionally.
  • Promote a culture of advice, technology adoption, and client‑centric engagement to enhance sustainability and client retention.
  • Create strategic partnerships to understand business priorities, provide credible advice, and build relationships with advisers and stakeholders.
  • Improve client service and fair treatment, participate in a culture of sustainable relationships, and support the deployment of effective client growth and retention strategies.
  • Lead the team effectively, foster a positive work environment, and demonstrate exemplary leadership aligned with organizational values.
  • Ensure workforce planning, stakeholder development, performance excellence, innovation, and integrity in communication.
  • Manage the budget, control expenditures, and implement financial risk management practices.
  • Investigate compliance issues, enhance cost‑effectiveness, and ensure governance and risk policies are followed.
