Join a leading cosmetics manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products that meet stringent regulatory standards.We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedProduction Team Leader to plan, lead, organise, control and motivate the Production Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Develops and manages daily and monthly production plans, allocating labour, equipment, and resources to meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Leading: Provides direction and guidance to the production team through daily meetings, ensuring clear communication of goals, targets, and performance feedback.
  • Organising: Coordinates staff schedules, training, and equipment readiness to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
  • Controlling: Monitors production output, enforces quality controls, ensures compliance with procedures, and takes corrective action where required.
  • Motivating: Builds a positive team culture by recognising performance, promoting teamwork, and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • SOP Training and Adherence: Ensures all team members are trained, competent, and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
  • Health, Safety and Environment: Enforces health and safety standards, conducts regular inspections, and promotes a safe, compliant, and hazard-free workplace.
  • Production Documentation: Verifies and submits accurate production documentation and reconciliations to Finance daily, ensuring all records are complete and compliant.
Requirements

Qualifications& Experience

  • Education: Matric with Bachelor’s pass (including Mathematics).
  • Qualification: Post-matric qualification at NQF Level 6 or higher, ideally a Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or other relevant tertiary studies.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an operational manufacturing environment within FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Food Processing sectors.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading or managing a team in a production or manufacturing environment.
Skills:
  • Numerate not just in mathematics but also able to work with and understand numbers in practical applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Mid-level skills in Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in and to lead teams
