Job description

Requirements :

  • Matric or equivalent required; technical or food-related qualifications preferred
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferably snack production)
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role is an advantage
  • Knowledge of food safety systems (FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of food processing machinery (poppers, conveyors, weighers)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production line operators, and packers
  • Ensure production targets (volume, quality, waste, efficiency) are met consistently
  • Monitor the operation of popped chip machinery, seasoning equipment, oil sprayers, and packing lines
  • Perform start-up and end-of-shift checks including equipment inspections, sanitation verification, and production log updates
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and food safety systems (FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP)
  • Taking accurate records of raw materials used during production
  • Train and mentor team members on proper operational procedures and safe working practices
  • Lead daily team meetings and shift handovers; communicate production plans and updates
  • Troubleshoot and escalate process issues
  • Keep accurate production records, downtime logs, and material usage reports
  • Monitor product quality (e.g., texture, seasoning level, moisture, packaging integrity) and take corrective actions when needed
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork on the floor
