Job description

PRODUCTION COST CONTROLLER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine and calculate overhead and labour costs
• Calculate, update and maintain standard costs on Sage X3.
• Calculate costing for new products on Sage X3
• Analyse and investigate standard and actual cost variances for inaccuracies
• Review production and operational costs for recommendation of cost‑effective solutions
• Analyse and report sales and profit margins for the production division
• Review, analyse and maintain the BOMs and routings
• Manage and reconcile stock and WIP for the production division
• Responsible for the budgets (expense and capex) and investment proposals for the production division
• Responsible for correlating information to assist in cost calculation with various departments, Sales, Production, Planning and Procurement.
• Monthly management accounts and reporting for the production divisionREQUIRED

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven work experience as Cost Accountant, System Cost Analyst

The position is based at City Deep, for the first few weeks the candidate will be expected to report to head office (Selby) to work with the company accountant.
