What You Will Do
- Oversight of the procurement and buying activities within the business unit, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and contracts within the Business Unit.
- Work with the broader procurement function and contribute to the development and promotion of a professional and ethical procurement function.
- Managing RFX’s to optimize spend and unlock value for Tiger ensuring compilation of procurement motivations for approval of RFI/Q awards ensuring compliance with Tiger Brands Procurement Policy and Procedures.
- Develop, implement and manage supplier contracts for assigned spend with support of the Tiger Brands Legal team within the BU.
- Provide budgetary input, quarterly cost forecasts and Zero-Based Budget Management.
- Maintain Supply Risk registers for specified commodities.
- Complete supplier evaluations, negotiations and price movements for all categories allocated to this role.
- Monitor and manage contracts for the BU and suppliers to ensure all contracts are valid and risk is managed and mitigated proactively.
- Management of the relevant procurement processes including online procurement platforms (Zycus etc) as well as related data management processes ensuring full BU adoption.
- Explanation of complex products, services or concepts to internal or external customers or clients.
- Compilation of procurement mandates and motivations for approval of contract awards to Exco level as well as compilation of In‑depth technical reports, proposals or project briefs affecting one or more business unit.
- Monthly recon and reporting of KPIs and related metrics including of savings generated from Continuous Improvement initiatives to both BU and central procurement for Group Consolidation.
- Supplier interactions and visits to build and enhance the strategic relationships.
- Represent Tiger brands at various stakeholder meetings.

- 5+ years’ experience procurement.
- Extensive and advanced excel knowledge and skills.
- Management of substantial commodity sourcing budgets.
Qualifications
- NQF Level 7 or equivalent 3‑year Bachelor's degree.
- Supply Chain Management Post‑Graduate Degree is an advantage.
