As the Mid-Level or Senior Level-Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the engineering, design, development, and optimization of process plants for a specific project within our organization. You work with a team of process engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in improving efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing product quality, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Salary: Market related and negotiable, based on experience.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (It might become Permanent, but there is no guarantee whatsoever)
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to ensure the understanding and alignment of your team to the company’s Vision, Mission, and Value Statement
- Ensure that the design quality requirements are clearly understood and agreed, and that change control procedures are adhered to.
- Arrange the services of engineering consultants for specialized intermittent needs.
- Lead the process engineering, design and development of new process plant, or improvements to existing process plants.
- Provide technical expertise in process engineering principles, including mass and energy balances and P&ID design. Apply this knowledge to design, troubleshoot and optimize processes.
- Identify opportunities for process and process design optimization to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase throughput, or enhance product quality. Implement changes and evaluate their impact through data analysis.
- Select appropriate equipment and machinery for different processes. Specify equipment requirements and work with vendors and other discipline engineers to ensure equipment meets project specifications.
- Ensure that the manufacturing processes designed comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Identify potential hazards and implement safety protocols to mitigate risks.
- Manage the work allocation and day-to-day operations of a team of process engineers in the process engineering department to meet overall company project requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of process engineers. Mentor engineers, provide technical training, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process and process design efficiency, quality, and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc Chemical Engineering, BTech ChemEng (Requirement)
- Process Plant Design and Commissioning Experience of 8 - 15 Years
- ECSA registration (Desirable)
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Exceptional time-management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
