Principal Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Pr Eng (Electrical) with deep solar PV design experience who can take technical ownership from concept to construction handover, and operations and maintenance where needed.

Responsibilities

• Scope sites, run PV simulations, develop CAD layouts and single line diagrams for solar PV systems.
• Review and quality-check engineering deliverables (models, drawings, calculations, specs, reports) and sign off designs as the responsible Professional Engineer.
• Provide technical guidance to the team, mentor young engineers, and drive continuous improvement in standards and procedures.
• Support troubleshooting and underperformance investigations on PV plants in collaboration with operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• BSc Eng (Electrical) and Pr Eng (Electrical).
• 10+ years electrical engineering experience.
• 5+ years in the Solar PV industry.
• PV modelling experience (PVSOL or similar).
• PV system design experience in CAD.
