The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in IT or similar, vendor certifications, and 2–5 years of experience in pre-sales and IT solution design. Qualifications

Overview

Our client a value-added distributor of cybersecurity solutions, representing world-class brands including Fortinet, Tenable, and Allot are looking to employ an Entry & Intermediate Pre-Sales Engineer.

Backed by a team of passionate sales and technical experts, they continue to evolve alongside market demand while ensuring partners and clients receive the best cybersecurity solutions.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer you’ll be the technical advisor and solutions specialist, working closely with the sales team, partners, and vendors to design and recommend cybersecurity solutions. Delivering demos, high-level designs, POCs and technical proposals that show the value of our client’s solutions while staying ahead of industry trends.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cyber risk assessments and solution sizing.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to customers and partners.
  • Whiteboard and design cybersecurity solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Prepare proposals, tender documentation, and Bills of Materials.
  • Lead and manage Proof of Concept (POC) projects.
  • Collaborate with vendor technical teams to build and enhance solutions.
  • Build lab environments to test, learn, and showcase product features.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to staff, partners, and customers.
  • Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and vendor roadmaps.
  • Represent our client at trade shows, conferences, and partner events.
  • Support post-sales engineers when required and help identify upsell opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Vendor certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or IT solution design.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, networking, or IT infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Qualys (main focus) and ideally Rapid7.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity penetration testing or governance / compliance solutions is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in:
    • Solution design & whiteboarding
    • Technical presentations (PowerPoint, demos)
    • Proposal and report writing
    • Familiarity with ERP / CRM systems for customer engagement tracking
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
