Job description

Introduction

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Planning Manager to join our team, focusing the Domestic Automotive Glass Supply Chain. This is a hands on, rewarding role where you'll be working with a supportive and inclusive team to provide a balanced and stable environment.

Main Job Purpose

Manage and co-ordinate the Domestic Automotive supply chain, by ensuring tactical plans in all business functions are aligned and in support of company and group strategy. Optimally synchronize Domestic Automotive Demand, Supply and Inventory levels to satisfy demand in a cost effective and efficient manner in line with best practices and system processes.

Main Objective

  • Facilitate, determine, manage and control monthly domestic automotive market sales demand and forecast to ensure high levels of forecast accuracy for S&OP and build purposes.
  • Manage the domestic automotive supply chain in a cost effective and efficient manner by using the resources available to achieve required customer satisfaction according to company guidelines.
  • Manage physical glass, direct and indirect inventory against actual sales to prevent any potential stock outs and ensure consistent glass production and supply.
  • Manage glass direct and indirect stock inventory age to the agreed targeted levels to minimise and eliminate potential stock obsolesces.
  • Plan and schedule all production work centres and resources according to capacity and constraints identified, to produce glass products in a optimal and cost effective manner.
  • Embrace new system enhancements in planning environment, manage business variables and streamline domestic automotive process in line with world class manufacturing standards.
  • Manage the physical plan adherence of the PFG operational areas in line with the production plans set up for the various areas by ensuring accurate material master data within SAP, APO and IBP.
  • Ensure good customer relationships to meet service deliverables.
  • Explore continuous improvement opportunities throughout the automotive supply chain

Minimum Requirements
