Job description

My client, an established group of companies based in Stellenbosch is seeking to employ an Personal Assistant to the Director.

The ideal candidate will have Matric with a Degree (BA / B.Comm) and minimum of 5 years experience as a PA at Executive level.
MUST be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

The main purpose of the position is to assist the director with all his various business and personal responsibilities

Duties:

  • Liaising with various stakeholders, clients, suppliers and staff on behalf of the director.
  • Dealing with all communication, including producing of reports, letters and presentations.
  • Responsible for preparation of account payments, and reconciliation
  • Dealing with all arrangements with regards to events, meetings, travel and appointments.
  • Taking dictation and minutes
  • Carrying out specific projects and research, and present findings for the companies as well as his personal commitments.
  • Organising and maintain diary and scheduling appointments
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff
  • Devising and maintaining an organised office system
Requirements:
  • A post matric formal qualification as PA, or B Comm / BA degree would be an added advantage, coupled with the related work experience off which at least a minimum of 5 years’ experience at an executive PA level.
  • Highly proficient in Computer packages (including Excel). Proficiency in Apple applications will be an added advantage.
  • Financial knowledge coupled with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written English and Afrikaans communication skills.
  • Affinity for and experienced in all aspects of arranging and hosting of functions (including catering).
*Must live in close vicinity to Stellenbosch.
