Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• Current registration with South African Nursing Council(SANC).
• Minimum of 5 years as an enrolled nurse assistant.
• Post-Op nursing experience.
• Experience within private hospital environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, control and replenish stock.
• Support the patient pre-and post-operatively.
• Monitor a patient's physiological parameters.
• Provide treatment until recovery from anaesthesia.
• Assess the patient for discharge readiness.
• Evaluate the care given during each phase.
• Contribute to the holistic care of patients.
• Maintain competence in CPR/BLS.
• Project a positive professional image.
