Job summary

A human resources consulting firm in Paarl is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage payroll for 600–800 employees and provide financial and general administrative support. The ideal candidate has proven experience with Donkerhoek Data, strong administrative skills, and excellent attention to detail. Job Description:
  • Payroll Administration
    • Full payroll processing for approximately 600–800 employees
    • Daily use and management of timekeeping/clock cards
    • Capturing, verifying and validating hours worked and allowances
    • Preparation of payroll and reconciliation reports
    • Handling payroll-related queries
    • Ensuring compliance with labour legislation and internal procedures
  • Debtors & Financial Administration
    • Debtors reconciliations related to payroll and labour charges
    • Preparation and maintenance of management and payroll reports
    • Accurate record keeping and document control
  • General Administration
    • General administrative support to management
    • Handling of vehicle administration (records, licences, basic follow-ups)
    • Communication with farm managers and employees
    • Personnel administration for employees working across multiple farms
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Donkerhoek Data (non-negotiable)
  • Experience in payroll and administration for large employee groups
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Disciplined, reliable and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Good computer literacy (Excel essential; payroll systems advantageous)
