Department : After Sales

Remuneration : R600 000 – R750 000 TCTC per annum

Purpose Of The Job : Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced Technical Trainer to join the team. To provide OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) technical training to the staff and the dealer network technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Service Qualification System Training – To achieve the Authorized Trainer status as per the timelines, policies and guidelines of the OEM
• Service Qualification System Training – To primarily drive the Training internally at the OEM and to the Dealer Network
• Service Qualification System Training – Continuously monitor the progress of all delegates (internal and external) that are assigned to the training with regards to the online training, written tests, practical training and the practical exams
• Service Qualification System Training – Ensure that the training database is kept up to date
• Service Qualification System Training – Provide weekly reports to the Head of Technical Support & Training / Aftersales Service Manager
• Service Qualification System Training – Take full responsibility of the training level stages / events from inception to completion
• Service Qualification System Training – On completion, ensure all official documentation is completed and submitted timeously to the Head of Technical Support & Training
• Service Qualification System Training – Prepare for and maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency and professionalism in all Skill Areas of the training
• Service Qualification System Training – Manage and maintain the operational integrity of training vehicles for all activities
• Service Qualification System Training – Manage and maintain the database and offer support internally / Dealer Network
• Service Qualification System Training – Offer support for the different training applications internally at OEM and to the Dealer Network
• Service Qualification System Training – Offer support for the Training platform internally at OEM and to the Dealer Network
• Service Qualification System Training – Support to the Dealer Network and manage the database
• Service Qualification System Training – Utilize all available resources to maintain the highest level of technical proficiency
• Service Qualification System Training – Assist with the organization and functionality of special tools, hand tools, classrooms for usage, course hardware and components, diagnosis equipment and software updates
• Service Qualification System Training – Ensure high level of housekeeping is always kept
• Service Qualification System Training – Other Secondary Functions if or when required

Training

• Professionally present Technical (diagnostic, product and system related) training courses to technicians in the dealer network if / when scheduled
• Support Course Development if / when required
• Administer written and practical exams when necessary
• Develop self and maintain technical knowledge in relevant technical fields for all brands
• Manage training schedule if / when required

Technical Support / Aftersales Service

• Assist Aftersales Service and Technical Support when needed
• Assist Dealer Network if / when required
• Maintain effective relationships with all technical staff
• Always maintain the integrity of the brand name & OEM

Requirements

• Qualified Technician – Petrol and Diesel
• 3 years post trade test experience in a dealership environment
• Training background advantageous but not essential
• Require a high level of both written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer use and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work with a multi-racial workforce
• Self-motivated & able to work on their own without supervision
• Have excellent planning and coordinating skills
• Motor Industry Experience ESSENTIAL!!

Special Requirements

• Valid South African driver’s license required
• Must be in possession of a valid South African Passport
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• May be requested to perform ad-hoc tasks or requirements from time to time
