Role Purpose

You will manage project teams within the Reward practice, ensuring delivery of high‑quality client work, operational efficiency, and team development. The role supports the Reward leadership team by providing analytical expertise, managing day‑to‑day client engagements, and contributing to the growth of the practice. The role will be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Technical Expertise

As a Manager you will primarily be involved in the following:

  • Ensure accuracy, insight, and relevance of all analytical outputs.
  • Review executive and non‑executive benchmarking prepared by junior.
  • Contribute to development of methodology, databases and templates.
  • Preparation and review of indicative financial models to demonstrate cost/benefit analysis of variable pay arrangements.
  • Performance condition testing e.g. Total Shareholder Return.
  • Key performance indicator (“KPI”) strategy consulting.
  • Conduct critical reviews of client’s remuneration practices, and draft papers including review outcomes and recommendations for new structures to clients.
  • Short‑term and long‑term incentive review and design.
  • Assist clients with preparing the analytical components of remuneration reports.
  • An awareness of topical issues surrounding executive reward, both globally and locally, and the preparation of communication material to remuneration committees regarding this information, as well as providing ongoing advice.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Project‑manage client engagements.
  • Responsibility for risk management procedures and managing costs/fees.
  • Attend client meetings.
Client & Project Management
  • Manage day‑to‑day client relationships and act as a key contact on projects.
  • Oversee project delivery, budgets, and timelines, escalating risks or issues where necessary.
Business Development & Market Positioning
  • Support marketing, targeting and client acquisition activities.
  • Contribute to new product and solution development within area of expertise.
  • Provide input into thought leadership, publications, and client‑focused events.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage, coach and develop members of the Analytics team.
  • Build team capability, foster collaboration and ensure a high‑performance culture.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Degree in finance, economics, statistics, or related field (postgraduate preferred).
  • 2–3 years’ experience in reward consulting or a related field, with strong analytical expertise.
