Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Orthotist Prosthetist based in the City of Johannesburg.
The Orthotist Prosthetist will be responsible for designing, fitting, and maintaining orthotic and prosthetic devices that address patient‑specific needs.
Daily tasks include conducting gait analyses, assessing patient requirements, performing measurements, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver effective solutions.
The role also involves providing compassionate patient care and ensuring that devices support comfort, mobility, and long‑term functionality.
Qualifications Expertise in Orthotics, including the design, fabrication and custom fitting of devices. Strong skills in Gait Analysis and comprehensive patient evaluations. Proficiency in Patient Care with a commitment to providing empathetic and effective support. High attention to detail and proficiency in using industry‑standard tools and techniques. Bachelor's degree or higher in Orthotics & Prosthetics or a related field. Registration with HPCSA and professional insurance required. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
