Qualifications

• A Diploma in Mining Mechanical or Explosives Engineering.
• At least 5 years experience in a supervisory role within an operational or explosives mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Explosives Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, and OHS Act.
• Proven financial management and operational planning skills.
• Experience in SHERQ (Safety Health Environment Risk and Quality) management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Blasting Certificate (MQA) and Advanced Blasting Course (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Lead operational planning and resource management to meet customer demands efficiently and safely.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations such as the Mine Health and Safety Act and OHS Act.
• Manage stock logistics and financial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead safety audits and risk assessments to foster a safety culture.
