Office and Stock Administrator – Salt River, Cape Town.

Are you a highly organised, detail-oriented administrator with strong stock control expertise?

Our client, based in Salt River, is seeking a responsible Stock Administrator for accurate tracking of consumables and materials, maintaining efficient office operations, and supporting the smooth and effective running of daily business activities.

Requirements:

  • Matric,
  • Proven experience in office administration and/or stock control
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Management team
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with enquiries over the phone
  • Manage consumables and materials stock levels
  • Track all incoming and outgoing stock, including offcuts
  • Conduct regular stock takes of consumables
  • Track and manage contract-specific consumables
  • Order contract-specific and standard consumables
  • Obtain quotes for normal consumables
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding material deliveries
  • Prepare and manage dispatch notes with the treasurer for company vehicles
  • General office administration including answering phones and managing stationery
  • Maintain filing systems (physical and electronic)
  • Manage delivery documentation and contract sign-offs
  • Ensure the office is well organised and adequately stocked
  • Coordinate vehicle licence renewals, repairs, and maintenance
