OEM – Aftersales Technical Support Administrator - Gauteng, Northern Suburbs

Our client, a renowned vehicle brand manufacturer, is seeking a proactive Technical Support Administrator to join their team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional technical support and thrive in a dynamic environment, this is the role for you.

As the Technical Support Administrator, you will be responsible for offering expert technical assistance to the dealer network and their aftersales service, performing in-depth problem analysis, compiling detailed failure reports, testing warranty-claimed items, and ensuring the effective and timely execution of the TAR process. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing dealer operations and ensuring the smooth flow of aftersales support.

Position Details and Duties include :

  1. Diagnose and evaluate faults for OEM and dealer vehicles as needed.
  2. Perform warranty repairs for dealers when required.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records.
  4. Prepare technical reports and assist panel shops with OEM vehicle repairs.
  5. Support dealers with on-site repairs to meet deadlines.
  6. Organize and prepare training sessions for the center.
  7. Attend local and international training seminars to meet OEM standards.
  8. Compile reports on technical queries from dealers and customers.
  9. Provide technical advice and assistance to OEM customer service.
  10. Analyze failure trends and implement processes to address issues and improve technician skills.
  11. Upskill technicians through on-the-job training during diagnosis assistance.
  12. Ensure service materials are updated and available in DCS.
  13. Coordinate with OEM departments to ensure service materials for new vehicle launches are available.
  14. Assist with SSQS training and exams as needed.
  15. Collaborate with district controllers for diagnosis support at dealers and OEM.
  16. Ensure accurate, cost-effective repairs by diagnosing issues promptly.
  17. Assist dealers off-site in the most cost-effective manner.
  18. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and order at OEM and dealer service centers.
  19. Apply 5S principles (Sorting, Simplifying, Sweeping, Standardizing, Sustaining).

Requirements :

  • Completed a full apprenticeship and recognized Red Seal Trade test.
  • Completed relevant technological courses.
  • Knowledge of FTIR / TAR systems and SDT2 functionality.
  • PC Literate.
  • Strong analytical, process-improvement, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to compile and analyze operational processes and reports.
  • Weekly progress reports to be submitted to the manager.
  • Analytical thinking, practical orientation, and solid ethics.
  • Excellent communication, frustration tolerance, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously and self-reliantly.
  • Resilience and cultural acceptance.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel at short notice.
