Job summary

A leading care provider in Johannesburg is looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to provide exceptional care to residents during the night. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, monitoring residents, supporting dining needs, and maintaining a safe environment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team. Previous experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of care of older people is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to ensure residents' dignity and individuality is maintained.
• Willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and continence needs.
• Monitor residents during the night and undertake regular checks.
• Support residents with eating and drinking.
• Ensure the home and equipment are clean and tidy.
• Complete accurate care records and report changes to the person in charge.
