A leading automotive service provider in Durban seeks a qualified Motor Mechanic. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose vehicle faults, and ensure the safety and functionality of vehicles. Candidates must have a Trade Test Certificate and 3+ years of experience in vehicle repairs. A valid driver’s licence is required.   • Education : Grade 12 / Matric (N3 Certificate advantageous).
  • Qualification : Trade Test Certificate (Qualified Motor Mechanic petrol / diesel).
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.
  • Drivers Licence : Valid Code 8 / 10 drivers licence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, brake checks, tyre rotations, etc.).
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair or replace damaged parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Test vehicles before and after repair to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate job cards, repair records, and service logs.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers and management.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop.
  • Keep up to date with new vehicle technology, repair methods, and industry standards.
