Purpose of the Job

To process all blood requests and all related queries sufficiently and effectively, and to perform other general duties as specified by the Manager – Blood Bank / Supervisor – Blood Bank.

Job Description

• Perform Blood Bank technical procedures, which include patient sample testing, preparation, and issuing of blood products according to Work Instructions;
• Check and reconcile patient information provided against the request form, prepared product, computer data, and issue documents to ensure that the correct product is issued to the correct patient.
• Coordinate processes with reference to communication, checks, queries, document control, and record keeping.
