The ideal candidate will assist the ships doctor, manage first aid stations, respond to onboard medical incidents, and ensure the overall well‑being of crew and passengers during voyages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate first aid care for minor injuries and illnesses onboard.
  • Assist the ships physician with medical procedures and patient care.
  • Maintain medical inventory, restock supplies, and ensure equipment is operational.
  • Record and update patient health logs and incident reports accurately.
  • Monitor passengers and crew for symptoms of contagious illnesses and assist in containment if needed.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts during onboard medical crises.
  • Educate crew members on health protocols and hygiene practices.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime health regulations and company safety policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or equivalent healthcare credential.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications.
  • Familiarity with emergency care protocols, including CPR and wound management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proficient in maintaining medical documentation and patient confidentiality.
Experience
