  • Investigating plant failures and carrying out repairs swiftly and efficiently to avoid interruptions to the process, including diagnosing complex faults and repairing during incidents.
  • Providing technical advice, keeping up‑to‑date with technical knowledge, and supporting or training technical trainees if required.
  • Working on a range of equipment including pumps and associated control gear, 3‑phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSDs, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives and controls, and chemical handling and dosing equipment.
  • Participating in a standby rota following the relevant training.

Base Location – Esher – Surrey – KT10 8AU.

Working hours – 38 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm.

You must have previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering, with an up‑skill in mechanical NVQ2/3 as a priority.

What you should bring to the role
  • Time‑served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems working in a “true multi‑skilled” capacity.
  • Upskilled with a mechanical qualification to allow inspection, maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, installation, modification or repair of mechanical and electrical plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • For candidates with only mechanical or electrical experience, we will develop them towards dual‑skilled status.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues.
  • Physical fitness to work in confined spaces, with successful completion of the required training.
  • Valid driving licence, with vehicle and tools supplied.
What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • Standby rota payments & overtime opportunities can increase earnings by up to an additional £8,000‑£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
  • Performance‑related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets.
  • Contributory pension – Defined Contribution – maximum 12% – 2× employee contribution.
  • Annual leave: 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
  • Generous pension scheme through AON.
