SGS South Africa, Matrolab Division, is seeking to fill a role in its Civil Engineering Site Laboratories. The role includes but is not limited to assisting the Supervisor/ Laboratory Manager with all tasks, whether it’s on site or in the commercial laboratory. To clean all equipment on a regular basis. To complete all preparation of materials to be tested in the laboratory division, including soils, asphalt, seals, concrete, aggregate with bench calculation as and when required for testing. The Materials Tester will ensure that the laboratory is clean at all times and will carry out all work-related instructions from the technicians/supervisors or authorized personnel.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a person with integrity and good interpersonal skills and is able to command respect from those he/she deals with, whilst possessing enough energy and passion to maintain good staff relationships.
