Job description

Yuppiechef is looking for a strategic and commercially astute marketing manager to oversee income-generating campaigns for our broad and expanding product range. You’ll drive growth in key categories and work with your team to ensure the most impactful use of our owned channels, balancing competing business priorities. The role reports to the Head of Marketing, has two direct reports, and is based in Westlake, Cape Town.

1. Collaborate with your team and our internal creative team to conceive and implement omnichannel promotions that grow categories, launch new products, build brands, and meet business objectives.
2. Guide the growth and profitability of supplier-paid marketing campaigns by building and selling win-win initiatives.
3. Own and optimise the productivity of our newsletter and on-site communication, considering content, templates, systems, processes, and impact.
4. Work closely with the Buying and Planning teams to prioritise marketing support for new listings, exclusive brands, and category strategies.
5. Regularly analyse campaign performance, sharing insights within Marketing and across teams for future improvements.

• Technological confidence, with skills in Airtable and AWS QuickSight considered a plus.

Qualifications and experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in retail marketing, ideally both online and brick-and-mortar, including work on known consumer brands.
• 3+ years’ experience managing direct reports.
• Experience with retail and omnichannel campaigns.
• A qualification in marketing, branding, or communications is beneficial.
