Job description

You’re about to start your marketing career. Why settle for average?

Location: Remote or Hybrid (Cape Town)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: R25 000 per month

ARE YOU A PROACTIVE, HIGHLY ORGANISED GRADUATE LOOKING TO LAUNCH YOUR CAREER IN MARKETING?

We are looking for a Graduate Creative Operations Coordinator to join our fast‑paced, in‑house agency.

This isn’t your average entry‑level role. You will be the "glue" that holds our creative projects together, supporting two flagship international brands with global followings. You will gain 360° experience across every imaginable marketing touchpoint: from social media and paid ads to web development and international video production.

We are looking for someone with a "calm in the storm" attitude, a logical thinker who can context‑switch with ease and who is eager to learn the operational "secret sauce" that makes world‑class marketing happen.

WHO IS SECOND NATURE?

Second Nature is home to a portfolio of award‑winning high‑impact global brands, including our two flagship brands, GVI and Bushwise, which have been leaders in their respective industries for over 20 years.

Curious to see what our teams get up to? Explore our social media pages for a glimpse behind the scenes:

GVI

Bushwise

From contributing to critical conservation and community development projects on five continents, to training the next generation of ethical safari guides, to building the global citizens of tomorrow through transformative youth group travel – working at Second Nature is varied, challenging, exciting and full of purpose.

WHY JOIN SECOND NATURE?

The Second Nature graduate program gives high‑performing graduates the opportunity to gain hands‑on international business experience from day one.

As a Second Nature Marketing Grad you will get involved in the following:

  • Project Tracking: Maintain Trello boards and reporting tools to provide real‑time visibility on all project statuses.
  • Brief Coordination: Draft and refine accurate project briefs, ensuring the creative team has all necessary assets and specs.
  • Social Media Ops: Manage the operational flow, asset delivery, and scheduling for two flagship global brands with massive followings.
  • Production Logistics: Coordinate filming and photography logistics, including international schedules, travel, and hub communications.
  • Traffic Management: Act as a studio gatekeeper, prioritising incoming requests to ensure the creative team remains focused and on‑track.
  • Timeline Management: Monitor deadlines across the project lifecycle, with the opportunity to lead your own smaller‑scale projects.
  • Quality & Feedback: Review all outputs against brand guidelines and facilitate the feedback loop between creators and stakeholders.
  • Process Documentation: Update internal workflows and documentation to ensure consistency for the team and external freelancers.
⭐ WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proactive & Agile: You are a self‑starter who plans ahead to anticipate bottlenecks and remains flexible when project priorities shift.
  • High‑Pressure Resilience: You maintain a calm, "I’ve got this" attitude in fast‑paced environments, ensuring the team feels confident in your guidance.
  • Logical & Context‑Switching: You can seamlessly move between diverse tasks— from social media ops to print logistics—without losing focus or compromising quality.
  • Rapid Concept Grasp: You have the ability to get up to speed quickly on new brands and systems, working independently once you’ve found your feet.
  • Organised & Solutions‑Driven: You possess a strong problem‑solving mindset, always looking for the "how" to overcome challenges rather than just flagging the "what".
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: You are a clear communicator and a supportive collaborator who leads with empathy and builds strong relationships across the team.
  • Detail‑Oriented & Meticulous: You take pride in your work, from ensuring Trello boards are accurate to maintaining high standards in quality assurance.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • A monthly salary of R25 000
  • Flexible work: remote or hybrid from Cape Town
  • Direct mentorship from industry leaders
  • Generous leave policy
  • A collaborative, fast‑paced, and supportive culture
  • A career, not just a job – with the potential for permanent employment
