  • Coordinate community events, meetups, and activation days in partnership with ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with programme alumni, local partners, community leaders, and influencers.
  • Manage WhatsApp groups, community platforms, and local communication channels, ensuring timely, supportive, and helpful engagement.
  • Collect stories, testimonials, and case studies from participants to showcase programme impact.
Social Media Management
  • Create and publish content across KIP’s social media channels, ensuring alignment with AMI brand guidelines.
  • Tailor content for South African audiences, including reels, short‑form videos, community spotlights, and campaign assets.
  • Manage the content calendar for AMI SA and KIP and coordinate with the Central Marketing Team for approvals and campaigns.
  • Monitor performance analytics, track engagement, and optimise content for reach and audience relevance.
  • Support paid social campaigns in partnership with the Central Marketing Team.
Communications and PR
  • Draft country‑specific and programme‑related communication materials, including press releases, blog articles, newsletters, and event summaries.
  • Support media outreach and maintain relationships with key South African press and ecosystem publications.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to highlight impact stories and thought leadership from AMI South Africa.
  • Ensure AMI’s brand voice and messaging remain consistent across all public‑facing channels.
  • Draft talking points, quotes, and communication packs for stakeholder events.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or community management, preferably in South Africa’s entrepreneurial or development ecosystem.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to adapt tone to diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok), including content creation and analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic design ability (Canva or similar).
  • Experience with events, partnerships, or grassroots community engagement is a plus.
  • High levels of ownership, creativity, attention to detail, and follow‑through.
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
