Main Purpose of the role
The main purpose of this role is to maintain and grow the revenue in Kwa-Zulu Natal, managing a sales team to achieve set monthly targets and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance and growth of revenue objectives for the allocated region.
- Meet monthly and annual budgets and targets.
- Manage, coach and lead a team of Sales Executives and Business Development Managers.
- Assist Sales Reps to convert opportunities into active trading business.
- Involved in strategic accounts at Senior Level, ensuring relationships are maintained; contract negotiation.
- Review tender submissions and manage internal relationships to optimize service delivery.
- Monthly billing and financial reporting shared with stakeholders.
- Analyze sales information and report weekly to Sales Director and/or GM, Sales.
- Maintain client data, update regularly and report day-to-day to GM Sales.
- Continuous reporting on competitor and industry analysis.
- Assist in tender/proposal production and delivery, adopting an innovative approach to customers.
- Ensure proper implementation and communication of signed business to stakeholders; manage debtor days.
- Identify cross silo solutions and work with Department heads for partnerships; keep activities recorded in CRM.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-10 years Senior Account Management / sales experience.
- Experience in cross silo solutions and tender management.
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach sales teams to achieve budgets / targets.
- Experience with CRM systems and prospecting for new business.
- Previous supervisory / management experience advantageous.
- Experience engaging C-Level clients and decision makers.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; good numeracy skills.
- Able to travel extensively and sound geographical knowledge of South Africa.
- Previous experience in courier / freight industry advantageous.

- Advanced MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong administrative skills, high attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, professional conduct & appearance.
- Change management and project exposure advantageous.
- Automotive background experience advantageous.
